How Do We Measure Whether a Propane Safety App Saves Office Time?

Time the same paperwork tasks before and during a small trial. Count corrections, filing and finding the record later. Keep setup and coaching time on a separate line, and base any savings guess on what your own staff saw.

Follow one record through the office

Pick a task you repeat and mark its start and finish. For example: start when the office gets a finished field record, stop when it has been reviewed and filed. Add a separate timed lookup later.

Count the forms as well as the minutes. Keep job type and record quality alike. A quiet day of clean paperwork against a busy day of corrections is not a fair match.

Time the places the product is meant to help

Propane Safety Pro describes dropdown menus for field data entry. Time the entry step on its own if you want to know whether effort moved from the office to the driver. Product source

Voice-to-text is another published entry feature. Watch whether your trial user picks it and whether the text needs fixing. Don't assume it saves time. Product source

The app page describes automatic feedback on field errors at the job site. Count the office's calls for clarification during the trial and note what each was about. Product source

Field-work summaries for reports are also stated on the app page. Give the office one defined report to pull, and time it from request to a usable result. Product source

Show the math and its limits

For each matched task, subtract trial minutes from baseline minutes. Divide each period's total by the number of comparable records to get minutes per record. Show one-time setup and learning time on its own line.

If you project a month, put the record volume you assumed right beside it. That number is your estimate, not a product promise. Make sure no unfinished review work sits outside your timing window.

Bring the numbers back to the buying talk. You may see a clear gain, a training gap, or a task that needs a different process. Any of those beats an unsupported hours-saved claim.
