Can One Propane Safety Manual Cover Multiple Branches?

Part of it can. Shared company policy can sit in one place. Each branch still needs its own facts checked before you use one identical book everywhere.

Split company policy from local facts

Put your approval process and company responsibilities in a shared section if that helps your crew. Then list what differs by site: equipment, activities, contacts, access and emergency routes. This is a suggested book layout. No rule requires a particular binder format.

Two hazard communication details show why location matters. Where the standard applies, OSHA requires the written program to be developed, implemented and maintained at each workplace. OSHA Hazard Communication standard That program includes a list of the hazardous chemicals known to be present. OSHA Hazard Communication standard Check that list for each branch. Do not copy one yard's list into every file.

Test the site pages

Where an emergency action plan is required, its elements include evacuation procedures and exit-route assignments. OSHA emergency action plan standard Have each branch check the pages it would use in an evacuation.

Questions and answers

What should we send the writer first?

A short location list: branch name, work done there, plant equipment, responsible manager and known document gaps. Mark facts you still need to confirm. Ask the quote to name the locations and documents it covers. Do not assume it covers every state's rules for every branch.
